HX Stomp eats a lot of power. the best thing i''ve tried is actually by this guy Sweet Foot Pedals. he makes a dedicated psu for the hx stomp (1500mA) and then three other spots to power other pedals (at 300mA each) search on Reverb and you''ll find his shop. he even makes one that has footswitches on top so you can use it as a controller.
Jan 18, 2024. #1. Hey all! TLDR: Not sure if this is news or I''m just late but Truetone CS 6/7/12 power supplies no longer recommend powering HX pedals with a single 500mA output (this used to be a feature unique to Truetone), they now recommend using two 500mA outputs. —.
The Amazing Line 6 HX Stomp Power Supply Plus Three Plus Two. Approved by Line 6. Please welcome the newest and most amazing to date power supply for the Line 6 HX series. My two strongest selling HX models are the Iso Base Mini - a totally isolated power supply that not only powers the HX pedals but provides three more outlets for other pedals.
If you are an HX Stomp user, you know it has some crazy power requirements. I still see a lot questions regarding how to properly power this thing. So I decided to make a video about how I overcame some of these hurdles. I hope this helps. https://
If you have an Wall pluggable USB Power block, or a rechargeable USB Power brick, you can use a MyVolts Ripcord made for the HX Stomp. The Ripcord is a durable, inexpensive (about $25) USB to 9V 2.5mm right angle Center Positive adapter cable. It works flawlessly with the HX Stomp.

Are the power supplies for the HX Effects and the HX Stomp interchangable? IF not are there cheaper alternatives for spares than using the L6 products which seem crazy expensive
Hi Guys, recently got myself a HX Stomp XL and want to put it on a small Pedaltrain Metro board. Can someone please let me know the best power supply I can get, that will also be used for a couple of other pedals, that will power the Stomp XL no problem? It needs to be able to fit underneath the Metro as well.
The Line6 Stomp requires 900ma for full operation and the HX Effects requires 1A. You will need to use a parallel flex adapter (#8800) and the yellow flex cable (#3050) to power it via two outlets from the DC7 set at 9V. Alternatively you can also use the CIOKS CRUX to power the Line6 devices from the 24V outlet on DC7.
On the other hand, the original Stomp power supply actually provides a whopping 3A. So all you need is a power distribution cable and two connector adapters to convert 1) from the Stomp power supply cable, and 2) from the distribution cable to the Stomp device, and you''re all set. It works.
